AHEAD professional Network in cooperation with the Contact Center Association of the Philippines recently sponsored "Recruitech," a forum organized by www.vidres.net on the technological innovations used in recruitment and training . the forum was moderated by Cito Beltran and attended by the HR executives of top corporations and multinational companies.

Vidres.net, the latest online job matching facility and pioneer of Video Resumes in Asia, held a forum entitled “Recruitech: The Exclusive Access to an Innovation in Recruitment & Training.”

The event was held on November 28, Wednesday, at the Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila.  It featured the latest innovation that lends greater efficiency, economy, and speed to the current hiring process of companies in the country.

The forum included topics on information technology in relation to recruitment, as well as a discourse on corporate training and development for employees.

Esteemed panelists from various fields took part in the discussion, including Mr. Ernie O. Cecilia, Past President of the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) and President and CEO of EC Business Solutions and Career Center; Mr. Jojo Uligan, Executive Director of the Contact Center Association of the Philippines (CCAP); Ms. Grace Alcid, Business Development Director of John Clements Consultants, Inc.; and Mr. Florante F. Cruz, Chief Executive Officer of Vidres.net.

Vidres.net was created to offer an innovative venue online to help jobseekers build their careers faster and to assist employers in finding the right people to fit their requirements.  In addition to a text-based resume, jobseekers may upload a video resume, which gives a face, a voice and personality to the application.  In turn, employers are able to assess a candidate’s suitability to the job more quickly and at a lesser cost.  The idea is several steps up from existing online job search engines, which offer only text-based resumes.
